The Auxiliary operates in •Safety and Security Patrols •Search and Rescue •Mass Casualty or Disasters •Pollution Response & Patrols •Homeland Security •Recreational Boating Safety •Commercial Fishing and Vessel Exams •Platforms for Boarding Parties •Recruit for all service in the Coast Guard
